Event Report

The Legal 500, in partnership with RLI – Red Legal Iberoamericana -, held the long-awaited launch event of the inaugural GC Powerlist: Europe Latin America Specialists 2023, on October 26th, at the Hotel Wellington, in Madrid.

Welcoming over 100 guests, the reception convened the most renowned and accomplished in-house lawyers in Europe who have accomplished great success in the Latin American markets, celebrating their incredible and well-deserved achievement.

The ceremony kicked-off with The Legal 500’s editorial lead for the publication, Francisco Castro, making some opening remarks on how this special edition sheds a light on the achievements of those at the forefront of this legal frontier, as The Legal 500 attempts to contribute to the broader dialogue on the intersection of European and Latin American legal practices.

Representing RLI, Julio Veloso, partner at Broseta, provided some words of congratulations to those included in the publication, before gathering on stage all RLI members present in the room to celebrate their work.

Speeches ended with the keynote speaker of the night, Juan Blanco Dávila, general counsel, international, at Ferrero, addressing his peers to congratulate their mutual achievement and explaining the great significance of their inclusion within the publication.

The GC Powerlist: Europe Latin America Specialists 2023 includes in-house lawyers based in 13 different European countries. As the event was hosted in Madrid, Spain, The Legal 500 would like to thank everyone who went to great lengths, coming from all over Europe, to join us for this amazing evening.
