Event Report

The Legal 500 was delighted to be in Paris on 15 November to celebrate the launch of the GC Powerlist France 2023 alongside Addleshaw Goddard France, in the company of the country’s most influential General Counsel.

Remy Blain, Partner and Head of Addleshaw Goddard’s Paris office opened the evening with warm remarks. He was then joined by Ioana Knoll-Tudor, Michaël Cousin and David Père, all Partners at Addleshaw Goodard, who moderated an exceptional panel discussion on legal privilege. Besma Boumaza, Group General Counsel, Secretary of the Board of Directors at Accor, and Vice-President of the AFJE; Arnaud Douville, Deputy Group General Counsel and Chief Ethics and Compliance at Bureau Veritas; Olivier Catherine, Group General Counsel and Group Secretary at Sonepar; and Eline Cormont-Girardey, Group General Counsel at Tarkett, also contributed to the session. They examined the regime’s potential obstacles, shared insights on implementation, discussed the role of legal associations, and provided comparative perspectives with other European jurisdictions.

The event continued with a wonderful networking reception at the Rotunda room of the Peninsula Paris.
