Event Report

For the first time since a Covid-enforced hiatus, The Legal 500 travelled to Dublin to launch the latest edition of one of our most popular editions in the GC Powerlist series: The GC Powerlist: Ireland 2022. And it was great to be back. 

 Head of research for the GC Powerlist series Joe Boswell and GC Powerlist maestro David Freeman were in attendance alongside the very best of the Irish in-house legal scene to celebrate the achievements of in-house counsel from both established and up-and-coming businesses across Ireland.  

The event took place at Matheson’s plush headquarters on the banks of the river Liffey, with managing partner Michael Jackson providing the opening remarks to the GCs in attendance before Alex Potlog, legal director for the UK and Ireland at AbbVie spoke about some of the challenges he and his contemporary in-house counsel have faced over an extremely challenging last few years. A highly enervating session of drinks, food and networking with the best and the brightest of Ireland’s legal community followed into the night.  

A huge thank you to long-term Legal 500 partners Matheson for helping to make this Ireland GC Powerlist our best yet, to Michael Jackson for his opening remarks at the event, to Alex Potlog for his engaging and relatable speech, and to everyone who made it into the list for this edition.
