On 16th April 2025, Legal 500 celebrated the inaugural GC Powerlist: Netherlands. Senior practitioners from across the country gathered to take in the panoramic views at Loyens & Loeff’s Amsterdam office and celebrate the country’s leading in-house counsel.

Isabel Caine, event content editor at Legal 500, opened the evening, welcoming attendees and congratulating this year’s honourees, before handing over to Harmen Holtrop, managing partner of Loyens & Loeff N.V..

In recognition of the value of partnerships between in-house and private practice lawyers, Harmen discussed some of the key issues facing general counsel in today’s market and how to facilitate and manage interactions throughout the legal community.

With a full room of delegates, the evening quickly gave way to networking over drinks and canapés, and honourees were able to collect their certificates and capture the moment in front of the photo wall.
