Over 100 senior in-house counsel gathered together on the evening of 23 November to celebrate the launch of GC Powerlist: Turkey 2017 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Istanbul. Hosted by The Legal 500 and sponsors Esin Attorney Partnership, the gathering marked the third edition of the Turkish Powerlist and served as a reminder of the depth of the talent pool in the Turkish legal market.

Following an introduction from Dr Ismail Esin of Esin Attorney Partnership, guests heard from Ahmet Kurutluoğlu, chief legal officer of Doğuş Group and board member of Doğuş Holding. As one of the most senior figures in the Turkish GC community, Kurutluoğlu was well placed to comment on developments in the market.

The Legal 500, along with sponsor Esin Attorney Partnership, was pleased to recognise the best corporate advisers active in the market today. The selection was based on an extensive list of nominations and was backed by a three month period of independent research and interviews conducted by The Legal 500’s dedicated client intelligence team.

Having collated hundreds of nominations from law firm partners and fellow in-house practitioners based in the Middle East, the final list of 100 GCs truly showcases the best legal talent in the region.
