Event Report

The very first GC conference in İzmir by The Legal 500 and leading law firm Kılınç Law & Consulting was hosted at the Izmir Marriott Hotel on 26th October 2022.

Such was the excitement and anticipation of hosting the very first GC Summit in Türkiye’s third most populous city that thirty-ne media outlets covered the Summit, including Anadolu Agency, Demirören haber Ajansı, Habertürk Manşet Türkiye, Time35 İzmir Haber, Ege’de Sonsöz, OGÜN Haber, Son-An Gazetesi and dikgazete.com.

The purpose of the conference was to highlight just how important the work of lawyers and legal advisors are in the Aegean Region and to showcase its growing legal market, its attraction to major investment and its huge appeal across the country.

The GC Summit İzmir attracted over 70 attendees, including legal counsel, C-Suite executives and a group of talented law students. The three panels covered topics including disputes settlement through arbitration, arbitration records in freight contracts and competition law. The conference ended with a networking cocktail / drinks reception accompanied by a beautiful view of this amazing city.
