Event Report
The Legal 500 was delighted to host its GC Summit: Poland on 26 October. The last time The Legal 500 were in Warsaw was back in 2019, and the team was excited to return to Warsaw in order to bring together Poland’s top in-house counsel and leading legal thought leaders.
After Nathan Oseroff-Spicer, research editor at Legal 500’s GC Powerlist and GC Magazine, opened the Summit, Rafał Poznalski, head of legal & compliance, LG Electronics Central Europe, gave illuminating opening remarks about the experiences of GCs and in-house counsel in Poland and Europe more broadly.
What followed was a day-long series of panels, lead by our partners for this event, Rymarz Zdort, PwC, Bird & Bird, GESSEL, Traple Konarski Podrecki & Wspólnicy, Hansberry Tomkiel, Viroux & Partners, Greenberg Traurig, Penteris and Wiewiórski Legal. We were honoured to present a series of sessions to a standing-room only audience that covered a wide range of issues, including the complexities of legal technology, the impact of ESG regulations and compliance on in-house counsel, the ever-changing space in competition law, crisis and risk management, corporate liability, contemporary employment issues that in-house counsel face, and dispute management. This was followed by a packed drinks reception that finally ended late in the evening.
A hearty thank you and congratulations to the sponsors is in order for the successful event–Rymarz Zdort, PwC, Bird & Bird, GESSEL, Traple Konarski Podrecki & Wspólnicy, Hansberry Tomkiel, Viroux & Partners, Greenberg Traurig, Penteris and Wiewiórski Legal–for supporting and participating in the event, and the invited panellists and speakers for sharing their insights into the major issues facing Polish in-house counsel.
