The Legal 500 GC Summit Taiwan 2024, held on October 8 at Le Méridien Taipei, brought together over 120 top legal professionals and industry leaders for its second edition. The event featured expert discussions on pressing issues such as AI and cybersecurity in tech M&A, cross-border geopolitical risks, legal trends in entertainment, gaming, sports law, and Taiwan’s growing influence in global M&A markets. It also covered environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues and carbon reduction initiatives.
Key panelists included prominent legal figures such as Ken-Ying Tseng from Lee and Li, Attorneys At Law, Kunchou Tsai from Enlighten Law Group, Hung Ou Yang from Brain Trust International, George Lin from Lin & Partners Attorneys at Law, Jacqueline Fu from K&L Gates and David Wolber from Gibson Dunn.
Each session provided key takeaways, and the session on geopolitical risks was a particularly engaging and thought-provoking one, combining insights into global trends alongside emerging sanctions regimes from each of the key players in the global great game.
The event offered attendees an excellent opportunity for networking, with a closing session featuring drinks and canapés which was well attended and went on well into the night.
