Event Report
On 30 November 2017, we returned for the third and largest International Arbitration Summit that Legalease has yet held. Such an attendance – with over 100 guests – reflected the continued interest in one of the most strategically potent product lines in cross-border law and the convolutions in the global trade framework in recent years.
Reflecting the greater influence of clients, this year we sought to make central the role of in-house counsel in the debate, with general counsel featuring across our programme and prominently among our guests. The topics span ongoing attempts to reform the arbitration process, the thorny issue of corruption and the latest trends in investor state disputes.
