Event Report
30 March 2022 saw The Legal 500 team up with Pinsent Masons at their Crown Place offices near Liverpool Street for a no-holds-barred discussion on what law firms can do to better provide what their clients really want. Leading the discussion were Pinsent’s global Senior Partner Richard Foley and commercial law partner Claire Francis, and in attendance were 15 of London’s top in-house counsel, including GC Powerlist 2021 alumni Caroline Kenny of Meta, Quentin Zentner of The Phoenix Group, Jeremy Barton of KPMG, David Eveleigh of Serco and Nigel Paterson of Currys. The hour-long discussion touched on a range of topics, including what makes modern general counsel choose one law firm over another, how the legal profession can drive change in the business world, and how law firms can measure and report progress on ESG and D&I initiatives to help GCs choose the legal representation that will lead to a long-lasting business relationship in line with the values they want to uphold.
