11 June 2019, London:

Over 20 heads of legal and senior legal executives met in Mayfair in London for our kick-off event with our partner, KPMG in the UK.

A very engaging and insightful discussion centred on looking at four facets of value:

• • Strategy
  • Planning
  • Handling the value challenge
  • Data and Metrics

• Our attendees offered insights and our advisory group helped focus and drive a solutions focused and fast moving debate facilitated by our host, Nick Roome, Head of Legal Services, KPMG.

One of our Legal Reimagined Advisory Group members, Rob Booth, General Counsel, Crown Estate, summed up his takeaways from the event:

‘Value is not just about metrics. If you imagine the current state of perfect metricised science at one end of the measurement spectrum, awesomeness is still at the other end.

Reimagined is about seeking to unpack the legal industry in a way that is conscious of its corporate context, not in splendid isolation.

We recognise that there is a heap of management science and corporate philosophy already out there from which we can learn and make great progress. To do that reimagined is looking to “let go of special” and leverage similarity and analogy.

Reimagined is one of a refreshing set of new initiatives, where “the tribe” are coming together to push the envelope.’
