Internal investigations under the proposed Association Sanctions Act – what will companies need to consider in the future?

Overview

This webinar presentation hosted by Legal Business magazine and sponsored by OpenText is designed to provide leading German general counsel and antitrust & competition, compliance & investigations and white-collar crime lawyers with guidance on the practical steps that can be taken to mitigate, manage and overcome the different stages of the Association Sanctions Act (VerSanG).

The ‘Act to Strengthen Integrity in Business’ – and with it also the VerSanG gives associations (companies) time to review their internal processes and, if necessary, take (further) compliance measures or introduce a risk-appropriate compliance management system for the first time.

There will be two 20-minute presentations that will each be followed by 10-minute Q&As

The first presentation by Dr Philipp Gergen will answer the key questions to emerge from the legislation including the state of the current law including its core elements, requirements for internal investigations, requirements for fair trial and co-operation.

The second presentation by Mr Patrick Kandel will cover the critical stages of managing data – the collection, preparation, analysis and investigation.
