Speakers
Barnaby Merrill, Editor – Legal 500 United States
Barnaby joined the Legal 500 in 2019, following a BA in History and Politics at Warwick University and a Masters in US Foreign Policy at the same university. Barnaby has probably the strongest opinions on the Warren G. Harding administration of anybody born after 1895, and fittingly serves as editor for the United States guide, where he can indulge his enthusiasm for obscure political scandals to his hearts’ content. He also hosts the Legal 500 Podcast, chatting with lawyers and law-adjacent individual about key issues such as social mobility, ESG, and the best way to write an out-of-office email.
Outside of work, Barnaby can generally be found cooking, reading about historic US elections on Wikipedia, and listening to music that hasn’t been relevant since the mid-2000s (and was never cool).
