Career

Chris Coulter is a Solicitor specialising in Restructuring & Insolvency in A&L Goodbody’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution Team. Chris is mainly involved in resolving complex, high-value / high-profile insolvencies, bankruptcies and restructurings, in both the contentious and non-contentious sphere. One of Chris’ key strengths is his ability to understand and distil the intersection between insolvency law and specialist sector specific regulation, be it financial services regulation or public law requirements (examples include the FCA Handbook, aviation law and energy-sector legislation). Chris distils complex advice into readily accessible and practical commercial solutions. Chris has extensive experience acting for banks, insolvency practitioners, financial services providers, funds, creditors and directors in relation to business recovery and financial services related matters in Northern Ireland. Chris regularly prosecutes and defends financial services and insolvency related litigation at the Commercial Court and Chancery Court in Northern Ireland.
