Career

She has been with SK&S since September 1998, and in 2009 became a partner with the firm. She is in charge of the personal data and privacy law practice, as well as public aid and public procurements. She represents clients both before Polish authorities (courts, administrative bodies, including before regulators – GIODO [General Inspector of Personal Data Protection] and UKE [Electronic Communication Office), and before the European Commission. She is an arbiter with the consumer conciliation court at UKE. As part of her personal data and privacy law practice she deals with an analysis of business structures as regards compliance with provisions concerning protection of personal data and the right to privacy. She prepares legal opinions concerning various issues, including employee relations, as well as those related to use of new technologies; she represents clients in proceedings concerning personal data, including before GIODO. As part of her public aid and public procurement practice she provides advice on matters related to negotiating and performing agreements on granting public aid, as well as on agreements on allocating public tenders. She also prepares pre-notifications of public aid, and notifications about illegal aid to the European Commission, and represents clients in these cases before the European Commission. She ensures comprehensive advice for investors who are carrying out greenfield projects, covering negotiation of investment packages, as well as financial settling or modification of these packages. She represents clients at all stages of proceedings for the granting of a public tender.

Education

She obtained a Master of Laws degree from the Department of Law and Administration at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań in 1998. In 2000 she completed post-graduate studies in copyright, publishing and press law at the Institute of Inventions and Protection of Intellectual Property at the Jagellonian University. She is a legal counselor since 2006.
