He joined SK&S in early 1998 and became a partner in 2009. Mr. Berak has advised clients on a number of privatisation and merger and acquisition transactions. At present he is a member of team engaged in German-speaking transactions. He also practices in English.

He graduated with a law degree from Poznań University Law School in 1995. He also attended the Friedrich-Wilhelms University in Bonn in 1995 and 1996, from which he received a Master's degree in Comparative Law in 1997 under the supervision of Prof. Marcus Lutter, following an additional period of study in business, commercial and company law.
