Isabelle LebbeArendt & Medernach

Led by the ‘exceptional’ Gilles Dusemon , Arendt & Medernach has justifiably earned the reputation of being “best in class” for its funds work, and has the strength-in-depth to be able to handle a tremendous range and volume of work on both the retail and alternatives front. UCITs remain a core area of focus, with many in the team excelling at providing ‘first-rate’ advice, combining legal technical expertise with knowledge of best-market practice. Florence Stainier  is very well-versed at handling retail fund set-ups, although she also has expertise structuring Reserved Alternative Investment Funds (RAIFs), as well as recently setting up alternative lending platforms. Isabelle Lebbe  and Michèle Eisenhuth are also vital to the team’s success on the UCITs front, with Eisenhuth also increasingly active advising fund managers on the establishment of debt funds. On the alternatives front, Adrian Aldinger has a strong reputation among many large global private equity firms, advising them on establishing buyout funds as well as on their debt fund strategies. The ‘outstanding’ Gregory Beltrame  provides ‘highly practical and efficient advice’ to private equity sponsors, including in relation to their secondaries strategies. Francis Kass  is ‘extremely knowledgeable’ on the Luxembourg law surrounding regulated and unregulated investment funds, and is a key member of the team that also includes Piotr Giemza-Popowski, who has ‘great technical knowledge in the UCITS space’.
