Career
Renata is the founding partner of PLMJ Colab Angola- RVA Advogados. Dedicated exclusively to the Angolan market for 15 years, she has extensive experience in supporting companies that want to set up or operate businesses in Angola.
In addition to corporate and M&A matters, she provides advice on employment law, real estate and construction, including real estate investment bodies, regulatory law and compliance, and private investment projects. In recent years, she has worked on technical assistance projects for Angolan public bodies in the water and sanitation sector financed by the African Development Bank.
Renata has postgraduate degrees in human rights from the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra and in negotiation and mediation of disputes from the Faculty of Law of Universidade Católica Portuguesa in Porto.
Before returning to PLMJ Colab, where she was of counsel and a senior associate at the partner firm in Angola from 2012 to 2017, she worked as an independent consultant and was a lawyer at ALC Advogados.
