Managing Associate
Career
João is a managing associate in the Public Law practice. He has over 15 years’ professional experience, focusing on public law, particularly in the areas of administrative law, public contracts, public procurement, and dispute resolution, especially arbitration. João has assisted both private and public entities on a wide variety of matters.
He is on the list of arbitrators of the Administrative Arbitration Centre and the author of several publications in the fields of public law and public procurement.
With a law degree from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon, João has also completed a university extension course in arbitration at the Faculty of Law of Universidade Nova de Lisboa and a postgraduate course in administrative litigation law at the Faculty of Law of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa.
Before joining PLMJ, João worked at the law firms SRS, Linklaters, Sérvulo and Vieira de Almeida.
