Career

Rúben is a senior counsel in the Corporate M&A practice. He has over 13 years’ experience in the Angolan jurisdiction in M&A transactions, structuring joint ventures, managing investment projects, financing, commercial contracts, and regulatory matters.

Rúben has acted for international groups in multi-jurisdiction projects and transactions, with a special focus on Africa. He provides day-today advice and support in investment project management in Angola in a range of sectors, primarily oil and gas, mining, finance and retail.

He has an LL.M. in international business law from King's College London and completed a postgraduate courses in environmental law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon, and in corporate law at the Faculty of Law of Universidade Católica.

Ruben writes regularly for Angolan newspapers on various subjects and teaches modules in post-graduate courses including company law and joint ventures.
