Position

Partner. Torstenbø specialises in employment law and has over a dozen years’ experience in the field. She has assisted with employment termination processes, summary dismissals, disciplinary actions, working hours arrangements, management prerogative and whistleblowing cases. Mira has assisted numerous clients in connection with orders and financial penalties issued the Norwegian Labour Inspection Authority’s. She has extensive experience of collective employment law and regularly assists on questions relating to collective wage agreements. She has worked particularly closely with the energy sector.

As a judge and deputy judge in Stavanger District Court, Torstenbø has wide-ranging experience in the area of dispute resolution and has also been a member of Stavanger District Court’s court-appointed mediation team. She has considerable experience of in-court advocacy and is a member of the Norwegian Bar Association’s civil procedure and arbitration committee. She has served as defence counsel and has worked in the field of financial and environmental crime, among others. She also has experience related to corporate penalties.

Torstenbø is a dedicated legal advisor, who goes above and beyond to achieve the best outcome for her clients. She is keen to balance the legal aspects of the case with her clients’ commercial interests, which makes her a valued strategic advisor and sparring partner in important business decisions.

Torstenbø is also a sought-after public speaker and regularly lectures on both individual and collective employment law for the Norwegian Bar Association, the legal profession’s continuing education provider Advokatenes HR and the Stavanger Chamber of Commerce. She is a member of the Norwegian Bar Association’s disciplinary committee.
