Pedro Pessanha is a Partner and has been at Abreu Advogados since 2022, working primarly in the areas of corporate, M&A and real estate.

He has intervention in matters related to the acquisition and sale of companies, business restructuring, mergers or demergers of companies, international contracts and monitoring of foreign investment, having advised national and international clients in the petrochemical sector, in the health sector – in the sub-sector of complementary means of diagnosis – , in the textile industry and in the transport sector.

With a vast experience in the acquisition and sale of real estate assets, with special focus on the wine sector, namely in the Douro demarcated region.

He is also involved in the structuring of international project finance operations, regularly monitoring renewable energy projects at a national scale.

Co-author of the chapter on Portugal in the “Handbuch der Europäischen Aktiengesellschaft – Societas Europaea -” by Jannot / Frodermann, published by C.F. Müller Verlag.

Pedro Pessanha is an Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of Belgium in Oporto since 2009.
