The acquisition includes Validus Reinsurance Ltd. and its consolidated subsidiaries, AlphaCat Managers Ltd. and its managed funds, and all renewal rights to the Assumed Reinsurance Treaty Unit of Talbot Treaty. Bär & Karrer acted as Swiss legal counsel to RenaissanceRe in this transaction.
