Career

Michael Serring is an expert of insolvency and dispute resolution.

Michael is highly specialised in the area of insolvency law and has performed as trustee of several thousand bankruptcy estates, including some of the largest in Denmark.

Michael advises banks, etc., on the handling of complex and distressed loans, often as counterparty to a bankruptcy estate. He has extensive experience in debt collection, for instance in uncovering hidden assets. As his particular niche he advises on limited partnerships, the relations to the limited partners and the limited partnerships' lenders.

Michael has conducted a vast number of cases before the Danish courts and bankruptcy courts, including numerous cases concerning insolvency issues that have changed previous views, and on directors' liability, including in relation to the bankruptcy of the Mindship Foundation. Michael obtained right of audience before the Danish Supreme Court in 1992.

Being a highly specialised and extremely experienced adviser and advocate, Michael is recognised for his ability to establish an overview, even in the most complicated and extensive cases, and for his ability to understand complex business models as well as the political aspects of cases.
