Career

Thomas Schönenberger was awarded a law degree (lic. iur.) from the University of Bern Law School in 1999 and was admitted to the bar of the Canton of St. Gallen in 2001 while working in a law firm in St. Gallen. After a legal internship with focus on corporate taxation within the tax administration of the Canton of Geneva in 2001/2002, he started practicing law in the law firm Buob & Partner in 2002. Besides his legal profession he has been awarded several post-graduate degrees in particular in the fields of international business law (LL.M. – International Business Law at the University of Zurich Law School from 2004 to 2006), of finance and accounting (Certificate of Advanced Studies in Finance and Accounting for Lawyers at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts in 2010) and of construction and real estate law (Certificate of Advanced Studies in Construction and Real Estate Law at the University of Fribourg Law School and Certified Specialist Lawyer SBA in Construction and Real Estate Law in 2013/2014). Thomas Schönenberger has been a partner at Bratschi Ltd. since 2008.
