Position

Adèle is a partner in the land resources department. She is accredited by the Law Society of Scotland as a specialist in agricultural law. Adèle has worked in the rural sector since 1989 advises clients on all aspects of rural property, including the sale and purchase of farms, forestry and rural estates and diversified uses of and rural property and the day-to-day legal management issues arising therefrom. She is a member of the Agricultural Law Association and sits on The Law Society of Scotland’s Rural Affairs Committee. She has experience of contested and uncontested matters relating to Agricultural and Crofting Law in the Scottish Land Court. She is a regular speaker at training events on rural law and has contributed talks for Central Law Training and the Law Society of Scotland. Adèle has a particular interest in crofting law and housing law, and has monitored and lectured on the Scottish parliament's reforms in these areas.

She has experience in renewable energy, both acting for developers and landowners, and has experience of developing energy projects on croft land having advised on the use of Schemes for Development under Section 19A of the Crofters (Scotland) Act 1993 .
