Career

Francesca joined Camilleri Preziosi as a Trainee in June 2008. In 2010, she graduated as Doctor of Laws from the University of Malta after submitting her thesis on the establishment of a regulatory framework for Islamic banking in Malta. She also pursued studies at the University of Tor Vergata at Rome, as part of the Erasmus exchange programme.

Francesca was appointed Junior Associate in 2011 and Associate in 2014. In January 2018, Francesca was appointed Senior Associate.

Her main areas of practice are corporate and financial services litigation, insolvency, corporate law, insurance (both regulatory and transactional), and general commercial law. She has also been involved in M&A transactions. Francesca forms part of the firm’s litigation team and handles matters which typically involve investment services, financial services or regulatory aspects. She also handles corporate and other litigation, particularly where the matter involves a cross-border element. She has also been involved in a number of matters involving the enforcement of foreign judgments, both locally and abroad.
