Career

Ron is a Partner at Camilleri Preziosi whose practice mainly involves Competition, Energy, Aviation, Employment and Industrial Relations, Information Technology and General Commercial law.

Ron advises various businesses in different industries as well as government and state-owned entities on Competition-related matters, including State aid and public procurement. This includes representing clients during investigations and litigation, as well as advising on mergers and other concentrations.

Ron has gained ample experience in the State aid practice, having advised the Government of Malta and other state-owned entities on a number of projects and proposed initiatives.

Ron's experience in the field of public procurement includes advice to local government entities and other contracting entities locally as well as international companies.

Ron has ample experience in the Energy sector, having advised on a number of major projects in this sector, including the procurement of the only HVAC interconnector cable connecting Malta to the European grid through Sicily, and the development of Malta’s first privately-owned and gas-fired power plant and the related LNG and Gas facilities.

Ron has been involved in IT procurement projects on behalf of the Government of Malta, including the procurement of the Integrated Health Information System (IHIS), the National Identity Management System (NIDMS) and the Integrated Utilities Billing System (IUBS).

In the area of employment law, Ron provides regular advice to a number of local medium-sized and large companies as well as to international entities having a presence in Malta.

In the aviation sector, Ron provides on-going advice to Malta's only international airport, and advises the Maltese national airline. Ron also represents Malta’s airport on the policy committee of the Airports Council International (Europe).
