Position

Marilena has consolidated experience in compliance, personal data protection, corporate criminal law, and internal investigations, including in cross-border contexts.She supports companies in drafting and reviewing organizational and corporate compliance models, and in assessing legal risks. Marilena advises on data protection and the management of personal data breaches and disclosure procedures to the Authorities. Marilena has advised leading Italian and multinational companies and developed a focus on national and international corruption, cybercrimes and domestic and international fraud, and in relation to the implementation of privacy legislation, including Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and the law of new technologies, including artificial intelligence.She has also worked as a jurist at the Italian Department of the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg and at the French Ministry of Justice in Paris, Department of European and International Law.

Career

Marilena Hyeraci joined the Firm as of Counsel in 2022.

Marilena regularly speaks at conferences and has authored numerous publications. She also teaches training courses on Legislative Decree 231/2001, compliance and personal data protection for members of boards of directors and executives and senior management of companies.
