Position

Clément Vandevooghel, counsel, advises financial institutions, insurance companies, French and international groups, asset managers and private equity funds on French and cross-border banking, structured finance, securitisation and asset-backed finance transactions.

Clément has worked on numerous securitisation transactions (involving a variety of underlyings such as trade receivables, real estate lending (both residential and commercial), consumer credit, infrastructure finance, car loans, bank cards, insurance risks, public sector receivables), covered bond and project bond issues, debt funds as well as setting up dedicated refinancing platforms in partnership with institutional investors.

Before joining Gide Loyrette Nouel in 2018 as counsel, Clément benefited from practical experience in investment banking acquired during several years at Natixis where he was legal counsel. He was previously a lawyer in the structured finance department of an international law firm, where he began his career in 2001.

Admitted to the Paris Bar in 2001, Clément is a graduate of the Faculty of Law at Université Paris Descartes (Maîtrise de droit des affaires) and Université Paris-Dauphine (DESS de droit des affaires).
