Position

Admitted to the Paris Bar, Jean-François Louit specialises in M&A transactions, private equity and capital markets. In these fields he has over twenty years of experience, working in leading UK and French law firms. In particular, he supports directors, entrepreneurs and managers in these areas, particularly with regard to issues of access to capital, management incentives and governance.

He has recently been involved in major corporate transactions, such as the spin-off of Accor Invest, the CVC bid for April and the acquisition of IPH by Advent. He is involved in the implementation of employee share ownership plans.

Career

Before joining Gide, Jean-François Louit was a partner in the Corporate & Securities department of Mayer Brown Paris. Jean-François holds a Masters in Business Law, Taxation and Accounting from the Faculty of Law of Aix-en-Provence and a Master of Laws (LL.M) from Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto (Canada).
