Position

Esra Dündar Loiseau specialises in intellectual property law (IP-trademarks, patents, designs, copyrights and all IP-related disputes, proceedings before the Turkish Trademark Institute), IT (IT-Internet and e-commerce), licensing and distribution.

Esra assists with IP/IT issues that may arise in the day-to-day business of companies in the field of information technology law, including Internet law and software and data protection. She pleads before commercial, civil and criminal courts specialising in Intellectual Property law, and regularly acts in seizures of counterfeit goods throughout Turkey, on behalf of major multinational companies in various sectors such as luxury goods, perfumes and cosmetics, textiles, car parts, toys, jewellery, high technology, etc

She has recently advised a financial institution on data protection issues and Turkish data protection legislation; an international company on trademark infringement and anti-counterfeiting. She has also provided expertise on intellectual property issues to internationally renowned companies in the luxury, perfume and cosmetics, textile and automotive sectors such as L'Oreal, Chanel, LVMH, Christian Dior, Fendi, Bvlgari, Audemars Piguet, Hublot, Tag Heuer, Moncler, Christian Louboutin, Clarins, Moet Hernessy, BPI, Levi's, Renault, Volvo, Ethypharm, MSA Technology, Mattel, Alltech, Accor Hotels, Lactalis, etc.

She has headed the IP/IT Department since 2005.

Education

Admitted to the Istanbul Bar Association in 1996, she graduated from the Faculty of Law of Marmara University (Istanbul) in 1994 and holds Master’s degree in international economic law from Paris Panthéon-Sorbonne University (France).
