Position
Bülent Özdirekcan is a partner of Gide's correspondent firm in Turkey, Özdirekcan Dündar Şenocak. He has been advising major local and foreign corporation in their investments in Turkey since 1998 and specialises in corporate, mergers & acquisition and restructuring operations for listed and non-listed companies with private or public capital, particularly in the automotive, banking & insurance, energy and real estate sectors. He also handles all taxation aspects pertaining to the aforementioned transactions, including those arising from foreign funding.
Bülent Özdirekcan is mainly specialized in corporate, restructuring, mergers & acquisition operations, for listed or non-listed companies in stock exchange, with private or public capitals, particularly in the energy, banking, insurance, real estate and automobile industry sectors. He also handles any taxation aspects of the aforementioned transactions.
In this respect, Bülent Özdirekcan coordinates straight forward as well complex merger & acquisition transactions to the benefit of foreign and Turkish investors in their inbound or outbound investments. He also advises his foreign clients on tax matters arising from their stand-alone projects which could be within or outside the scope of a merger & acquisition transaction such as drilling activities in sea for prospection of petroleum, construction of wind-farm generators, construction of ships and complex funding provided by non-Turkish resident entities or structuring of funding for foreign banks.

Education
Admitted to the Paris and Istanbul Bar Associations, Bülent holds a Ph. D. in Law from Paris Val-de-Marne University (France), a LL.M. in Private Law from Paris Panthéon-Sorbonne University (France), two Master’s degrees from Paris Panthéon-Assas University (France) respectively in Private Law - Judiciary Careers and Business & Tax Law, and one from the Istanbul University Faculty of Law (Turkey).
