Íñigo joined Gómez-Acebo and Pombo in 1990 and became a partner in 1999.

Barcelona Bar Association Member of the Governing Board of the Spanish Competition Association (AEDC) Former Deputy General Reporter and Member of the Board of Directors of the International League for Competition Law – Ligue Internationale du Droit de la Concurrence (LIDC). Former Chairman of the Antitrust Committee of the International Bar Association.

Iñigo holds a law degree from the Universidad del País Vasco. He obtained a Master’s Degree (Licence Spéciale) in European Law (Plus Grande Distinction) from the Institute of European Studies of the Université Libre de Bruxelles.

He is Professor of Competition Law in different academic institutions and speaker in different European and Spanish Competition Law forums.
