Jessica TerpstraHouthoff

Houthoff advises a client base consisting of Dutch and German banks and alternative lenders on the provision of acquisition financing, syndicated facilities and the refinancing of existing facilities. The latter falls within the practice of team head Loet Venrooy, who is also adept at overseeing transactions concerning loan portfolios. Jessica Terpstra splits time between the firm’s Amsterdam and London offices, advising clients on leveraged and project finance facilities.

Netherlands > Capital markets: equity

Houthoff‘s well-established group has strong capabilities handling the array of complex matters, including structuring issuer-led transactions in both domestic and cross-jurisdictional contexts. Corporate re-domiciliation transactions are a particular area of specialism across the team, and it is also well placed to advise on significant SPACs transactions. ‘Exemplary’ team co-lead Jetty Tukker has an equity capital markets specialism; Tukker is supported at the helm by debt capital markets-focused Jessica Terpstra who works from the firm’s London office. Alexander Kaarls has international transactional expertise and July 2024-promoted partner Willem Liedenbaum is also a name to note.

Netherlands > Project finance and PFI

Houthoff‘s Amsterdam and Rotterdam-based project finance team is led by Jessica Terpstra who is based in London but spends a large portion of her time in the Netherlands leading on financing and refinancing matters for infrastructure investments. The team advises lenders and sponsors on green energy and renewable projects and is also well-versed in advising on transport infrastructure financing. Michel Klijn resides in Rotterdam and excels in advising on construction projects and PPP.
