Francesca is the head of the Corporate and Commercial practice group of the firm. She specialises in transactional law, with a focus on the development and valorisation of intellectual property and the business of innovative companies.

Francesca regularly represents domestic and international clients from a wide range of industry sectors, including life science, biotechnology, oil and gas, industrial manufacturing, media, IT, food and fashion.

She has an extensive experience in drafting and negotiating IP focused commercial agreements and both national and cross-border transactions. She handles technology transfer and know-how licences and assignments, trade secrets protection and R&D agreements, as well as managing contentious matters, dispute resolution and mediation.

She joined the firm in 2005 after having gained experience with other corporate and commercial law firms. Before heading up Trevisan & Cuonzo’s Corporate and Commercial Law Group, Francesca Ferrero worked in London for an Italian law firm.

Francesca  is the Senior Vice Chair of the Intellectual Property and Entertainment Law Committee at IBA (International Bar Association).
