Roland Kläger is an expert in national and international arbitration proceedings, in which he acts as experienced counsel and arbitrator. He also represents clients in disputes before state courts. The cases on which he advises originate from diverse sectors (e.g. electronics, automotive, energy, chemistry, trade, engineering, finance), are often technically and legally complex, and reach across borders.

He speaks German, English and Spanish.

Roland Kläger is a member of the ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR, former representative of the ICC Young Arbitrators Forum (ICC YAF), co-chair of the arbitration and litigation group of The Law Firm Network, co-founder of ILEX – International Litigation Exchange, and past regional coordinator of the Initiative of Young Arbitration Practitioners of the German Arbitration Institute (DIS40), as well as a member of various arbitration associations.

Roland Kläger studied law at the University of Freiburg and holds a doctor of laws (Dr. jur.) from the University of Tübingen. He worked as a research fellow at the University of Freiburg, as a visiting fellow at the Lauterpacht Centre for International Law of the University of Cambridge and practised dispute resolution in a big international law firm in Frankfurt.
