Career

Aoife Skehan is a Senior Associate Solicitor in our litigation department and joined the firm in 2008 having completed her training and worked with a large Dublin-based practice.

Aoife practises in the non-jury area with particular emphasis on professional negligence defence litigation, acting in financial lines claims involving architects, engineers, solicitors, insurance brokers and contractors. She has considerable experience in construction disputes, environmental risk disputes, assessing liability and quantum, and advising insurers on coverage and indemnity matters, particularly for regulated professions such as solicitors, surveyors and accountants.

She is experienced in commercial disputes, defence of personal injury actions in the Circuit and Superior Courts, alternative dispute resolution (including mediation and arbitration) and in representing clients before the Commercial Court. Aoife acts for a number of international and domestic insurance companies, loss adjusters, financial institutions, statutory bodies, large corporates and private clients.
