Martine Berwette is specialised in intellectual property as well as in personal data protection with a broad experience in civil procedure, trade practices and commercial law in general.

For several years, Martine has been assisting companies in all matters related to the protection of personal data of their clients, contacts, suppliers and employees (video surveillance cameras, cookies policy, privacy policy, etc.). She has assisted many companies in complying with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Martine is also specialised in all aspects of judicial law related to these matters, including enforcement measures (seizures) and exequatur. She has been teaching private judicial law for several years at the Brussels Bar in the framework of the courses of aptitude for the profession of lawyer. She is also an assistant lecturer in private judicial law at ULB Mons since 2011.

She also has a long experience in Congolese law (DRC), in particular in contract law and labour law (especially for expatriate contracts).
