Career

Maria Holst Levin primarily specialises in M&A, regulation of energy companies and ESG.

Among other things, Maria advises Danish and foreign clients on M&A and energy law matters. She has extensive experience in planning M&A transactions, including in particular cross-border transactions and joint ventures, in drafting and negotiating contracts and in handling due diligence processes.

She has been responsible for both large and small transactions over the years, including high-profile transactions in the Danish energy sector involving solar and wind energy projects, biogas, electricity supply, and district heating.

Maria also assists clients in the drafting and negotiation of commercial contracts, notably in the energy sector (for instance corporate PPAs and project development agreements), and has handled a vast number of cases involving the Danish oil pipeline infrastructure as well as oil drilling and production.

She has extensive experience in advising on direct and indirect transfer of licences issued under the Act on the Use of the Danish Subsoil, the Danish Electricity Supply Act and the Danish Natural Gas Supply Act.
