Career

Zoya Todorova is a partner with over 18 years of professional experience. She heads the corporate, M&A and competition teams at DPC, specialising in mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, joint ventures, corporate compliance and corporate governance. Zoya has led some of the landmark restructurings and M&A transactions in Bulgaria and has helped numerous international firms establish their business presence in Bulgaria. Using her depth of experience and ability to manage business risks, Zoya helps clients build a roadmap for making critical business decisions.

Her corporate expertise transitions to competition law and she is known for her business-savvy approach to antitrust issues and merger filings. Zoya has first-hand insight gained by testing arguments and presenting complex evidence before the Bulgarian Commission for Protection of Competition.

Zoya has vast experience in advising companies and start-ups in developing labour strategies and incentive tools for managers and employees. She is deeply acquainted with onboarding of new employees, elaboration and implementation of social benefits programmes and particularly experienced in employees’ transfers and mass dismissal.
