Founded in 1724, we have literally centuries of experience in advising in complex cross-border and multi-jurisdictional proceedings and transactions. More than 50% of our clients have their corporate headquarters outside the Benelux countries.

Teams

Our lawyers are truly international in practice and culture. Most have studied abroad, worked in our London or New York offices* or at one of our "good friend" law firms abroad. They regularly travel to meet with clients and co-counsel in an effort to truly understand and address client needs. They have a deep understanding of the many ways in which people from other cultures conduct business. NautaDutilh has permanent teams (country desks) to monitor presence and competences in markets other than Belgium, the Netherlands, the Netherlands Antilles and Luxembourg. Our current teams monitor market developments and players in China, India, Japan, Germany and France. The country desks help NautaDutilh’s clients find their way round in the country concerned. The country desks also assist foreign clients in finding their way round in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg.

Our clients benefit from our strong international network which is currently covering more than 140 jurisdictions in the world. Firms in this network include full service as well as specialised law firms. Since our foundation in 1724 we have stuck to our strategy of being an independent law firm. As a result, our clients get highest value for money since we are having no constraints due to formal alliances or having to cross-sell fixed networks.
