BNP Paribas Solar Impulse Venture Fund successfully raises EUR 150m to accelerate ecological transition
Niederer Kraft Frey advised the Solar Impulse Foundation on its partnership with BNP Paribas.
BNP Paribas Asset Management (BNPP AM) has raised EUR 150 million (USD 166 million) for its BNP Paribas Solar Impulse Venture Fund (BNPP SIVF), which is focused on investing in innovative cleantech startups with a positive environmental impact, supporting the acceleration of the ecological transition.
Founded through an exclusive partnership between Bertrand Piccard’s Solar Impulse Foundation, the SFDR Article 9 fund aims to make 15-20 investments in European and North American startups, targeting sectors including the energy transition, sustainable agriculture and food, the circular economy, water and ocean management, smart cities, sustainable mobility, and industrial innovation.
With a hard cap of EUR 200 million, final closing is expected by the end of 2024.
