Career

Leon has over 10 years experience in international commercial and investment arbitrations, litigations, and investigations. In 2017, he acted as lead advocate in Grot v. Moldova, the first ICSID hearing held in Vienna, Austria. Later that year he acted in numerous highly publicised commercial arbitrations, including CEAC vs. Montenegro (UNCITRAL), and Dardafon vs. PTK (ICC, London High Court), which helped earn the practice the GAR award of "international arbitration practice that impressed the most in the past year". In 2018, Leon acted as co-lead advocate in the ICSID cases Kunsttrans v. Serbia and Mera v. Serbia, with both decided in favour of the investor. Further in 2018, Leon acted as advocate in a large, London-seated multi-party construction arbitration where, again, his client emerged victorious.
