Gergely Horváth is an attorney at law at Schoenherr Hungary, where he leads the energy/regulatory practice group. Gergely is an experienced lawyer, and his special focus lies in electricity and natural gas markets and trading, renewables, power plant permitting, climate protection and energy transition matters, infrastructure, industrial plant projects and state aid. Before joining Schoenherr he worked for other international law firms where he gained significant experience in the field of regulatory and commercial questions concerning the energy and the public utility sector. He participated in numerous mergers and acquisitions concerning the industry sector. He has also advised international clients in relation to licensing procedures as well as other administrative and litigation proceedings. In addition to law, Gergely has a degree in international relations giving him a broader understanding of industry-specific decisions required and made in the energy sector.
