Career

Anna Turi works as a counsel for Schoenherr Hungary and specialises in EU & competition law, heading the Competition Practice Group of Schoenherr Hungary. She joined the firm in 2008. Prior to that she worked for the European Commission in Brussels. Anna has an LL.M. from the University of Regensburg (Germany) and a postgraduate degree in competition law at Pázmány Péter Catholic University.

She has over 17 years' experience as a lawyer, and thirteen years specialising in competition law. She represents clients in several ongoing cartel proceedings, merger control proceedings and unfair competition proceedings before the Hungarian Competition Authority, as well as before the courts. Anna has also demonstrated outstanding expertise in antitrust damages litigation (representing clients in over twenty such proceedings before courts). She regularly holds competition compliance and dawn raid trainings and provides ongoing competition law advice to clients.

Anna has acted for clients in numerous industries, including automotive, manufacturing, IT/Communication/Technology, air transport, the financial sector, insurance, construction, food, personal consultancy, etc.

Anna regularly publishes articles on Hungarian competition law in various international and Hungarian legal journals. Anna is involved in the activities of the Hungarian Competition Law Association, several times heading working groups for the Association's recommendations for the legislator and the Hungarian Competition Authority.
