Schoenherr advised Joachim Exner, the insolvency administrator of Dr. Schneider's Group, a German key supplier for electronic components and polymer systems, on the Polish aspects of the sale of its business to Samvardhana Motherson Group, a wholly owned subsidiary of Samvardhana Motherson International Limited, for EUR 118.3m.
Dr. Schneider's Group, renowned for its expertise in electronic components and polymer systems, has established itself as a key supplier for prestigious brands such as Jaguar, Audi, Maserati and Daimler. With 4,500 employees across seven production plants in Germany, Spain, Poland, the United States and China, the acquisition aligns with Motherson Group's vision to strengthen its foothold in the automotive components sector.
Motherson Group, being represented in 41 countries, is a global automotive industry leader. This acquisition on the Polish market is strategically positioned to enhance the group's capabilities and market share within the automotive supply chain.
The Schoenherr team advising on this transaction was led by Paweł Halwa (partner) and further consisted of Krzysztof Wawrzyniak (counsel) and Daniel Radwański (counsel) and Hanna Kosińska (attorney at law), who advised on the bankruptcy aspects of the matter.
