Dimitar Kairakov is a senior associate at Schoenherr Bulgaria. He joined the energy team in 2016 and has been deeply involved in almost all energy projects, including upstream and downstream oil business, renewable energy, gas transmission, as well as natural gas and electricity trading. He has advised some of the key players on the Bulgarian market on various regulatory aspects and licensing procedures. He acts mainly for clients from the energy sector (oil, gas and electricity) and in addition to infrastructure, telecom and mining industries on all aspects of regulatory law matters and energy infrastructure projects as well as with respect to administrative and litigation proceedings. He is the first point of contact for clients on energy efficiency and emission reduction obligations, environmental aspects of energy investment projects, electricity and natural gas sale licensing issues, public procurement and concession matters.
