James is a Senior Marine Manger in the firm's Admiralty team. He travels widely on a variety of matters including collisions, groundings, salvage, total loss, fire and pollution incidents.

James joined the firm in 2003. Prior to that he spent eight years at sea with the Royal Navy specialising in navigation and pilotage, before coming ashore in 1996 to join the operations and claims department of a large London ship-owner. During the following seven years, James was involved with the commercial management of both tanker and dry cargo vessels and qualified as a Member of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (MICS).

In 2006, James moved to our Singapore office and travelled extensively in the Far East dealing with a wide variety of casualties for owner, P&I and H&M clients. James returned to the London in 2015 and remains a senior member of our international emergency response team.
