Career

Trine specialises in competition law and FDI. With nearly 25 years of experience in competition law, including senior positions at leading law firms and the Swedish Competition Authority, she has a wealth of experience both from domestic and international contexts.

Her expertise covers all aspects of competition law, including merger control, abuse of dominance and restrictive agreements, and related areas such as foreign direct investment control (FDI). Her experience from private and public practice is of great value in her role as advisor. Clients praise Trine for her “excellent and pragmatic advice on complex issues” and her ability to “handle complex competition law matters in a time and cost-efficient manner”.

Trine is the co-author of the 6th edition of the Swedish standard textbook Competition Law – A Handbook (Konkurrensrätt – en handbok, 2022) and of the law commentary The Competition Damages Act – A Commentary (Konkurrensskadelagen – en kommentar, 2023).

Since 2018, she has been appointed annually as a non-governmental advisor to the Swedish Competition Authority in the International Competition Network (ICN).

Trine graduated from the University of Bergen in 1996 and has been based in Stockholm since 1999. She is a native Norwegian speaker and fluent in Swedish and English. She is a member of the Norwegian and Swedish Bar Associations.
